Situation:
Makai Events & Promotions Inc., located in Manhattan Beach, Calif., specializes in event marketing for brand development and new product introduction. Nestle, a Makai Events client, recently introduced its new product, Nescafe Ice Java Iced Coffee Syrup into the market. As part of Nestle's promotional tour, Makai organized a mobile marketing event that covered 60 markets nationally. Nestle sought to generate interest in the new drink, increase traffic at every event, and promote its Nescafe Ice Java Chill Out Lounge Sweepstakes.

Solution:
The mobile marketing tour centered on the Nescafe Ice Java Chill Out Lounge, a retro trailer lounge with a great sound system and a Sirius satellite radio. For this tour, Keshot provided a unique solution to increase traffic and create interest at every event in its national tour of 60 markets.

For this event, Nescafe was looking for a customized solution that would integrate well with its chill-out lounge. Keshot developed a thin, wireless handheld touch-screen device that could capture users' photos and video. The graphic user interface was completely customized with Nescafe Ice Java branding. Once activated, a voice advised users on how to use the device. In addition, Keshot provided Nescafe with a branded event Web site and HTML e-mail that linked users directly to the Web site. An opt-in feature for a chance to win the Trailer Lounge was part of the Web site, as were opportunities to receive coupons and recipes for Nescafe.

With Keshot, Nestle was able to link its promotional campaign from the off-line to the online, while creating excitement at the event.
