Keshot Photo Booth Launches FanCapture At the “Gimme the Gig” Competition, Sponsored by the 2011 Ford Fiesta

July, 13th 2011, Los Angeles

Keshot Photo Booth launches its new FanCapture function – the new social media event connection - during Ford’s “Gimme the Gig” competition on Thursday, February 17 at the world-famous Whisky A Go Go in Los Angles.

The FanCapture function offers an opportunity for instant upload to Facebook fan pages. Fans who attended the competition used Keshot photo booth to take pictures and then upload them directly to the “Gimme the Gig” Facebook fan page – connecting the social media to an event. After the event, each fan received an email with an electronic postcard with a request to tag their picture on the “Gimme the Gig” Facebook fan page.

Nearly 500 fans attended the “Gimme the Gig” event, which was the culmination of the Ford Motor Company and Grammy® Award-winning producer Don Was seven-month competition sponsored by the 2011 Ford Fiesta. The grand prize-winning band Perry Acker was chosen during the live performance at Whisky A Go Go.

“Being involved in such a unique event was a great opportunity for Keshot. We selected the “Gimme the Gig” event to launch the new and unique FanCapture photo booth social media functionality because of the excitement generated by this event,” said Juan Benavides, CEO of Keshot. “Fans are so engaged with this event. Now, they have an opportunity to extend their experience beyond the event with FanCapture.”

In addition to the FanCapture functionality, Keshot photo booth provided a database of attendees e-mails collected at the event.

For the “Gimme the Gig” competition, the live concert event showcased performances by the seven top-voted up-and-coming bands selected from a pool of 2,500 total applicants during a seven-month-long competition launched on June 1, 2010. Legendary Grammy Award-winning producer Don Was hosted the competition. The concert was also streamed live online at the contest’s official website, www.gimmethegig.com, with over 4,200 total streams.

More than 250,000 people participated online during the competition from across the country. The finalists, who were announced last week on the official website and Facebook, include Eyeshine (Granada Hills, Calif.), Jake Newton (Los Angeles), Lost in Atlantis (Phoenix), Lost Point (Littleton, Colo.), Perry Acker (Gig Harbor, Wash.), Roosevelt Radio (Oakland, Calif.) and Wooster (Santa Cruz, Calif.).
