  • What is a Keshot kiosk, and what does it do?
Imagine one of those old photo booths you encountered back in the day at carnivals and arcades. It took a few photos of you and your friends acting all goofy and then spit them out a few minutes later in one long strip, usually of three photos. Well, imagine a photo booth like this for the 21st century, fully digital and capable of capturing both photos and videos and e-mailing them to you, your friends and your family. Good job: You've just imagined a Keshot kiosk. See, it wasn't that hard. For a nominal fee, our kiosks will take either four photos OR one 8-second video ("a Keshot"), and allow you to e-mail them instantly to up to three recipients.

  • What is a "Keshot"?
A Keshot is the actual photo/video taken by our kiosk. It arrives as a link in your e-mail that brings you to this Web site, where you can view it, post and reply to messages about it, and add it to your personal my Keshot album.

  • What are the private events, and how can I get a password to view the Keshots taken there?
We often allow businesses and private parties to rent our kiosks for their events and their own personal amusement. For whatever reason, the renters choose not to make the Keshots taken at their events accessible to the public. If you attended a Keshot-enabled event, you should have received a password in the e-mail sent with your Keshot. If not, forward the e-mail that was sent with your Keshot to support@keshot.com. If you're just a curious voyeur, we have a lot of other pictures and videos for you to browse, but private events must remain private. (Plus, you're not missing much anyway.)

  • Someone sent me a Keshot, but I didn't get it in my e-mail. How can I find it?
If you didn't receive a Keshot that was intended for you, chances are the sender typed in your e-mail address incorrectly. (Sheesh, can't your friends spell?) Try using our Search feature to help locate the Keshot in question. If you know where the Keshot was taken, you may also browse by location, which lets you browse Keshots from a list of events and locations.

  • How do I make my Keshots public/private?
To change the status of your Keshots from public to private, or vice versa, visit your My Keshot page, and locate the Keshot you want to change the status of. Click on the box marked "Click here to make your Keshot public/private." It's that simple.
NOTE: In order for a Keshot to be considered "yours," you must login by entering the same e-mail address you entered when you took the Keshot originally. This is the only way to change the status. Contact support@keshot.com if you have questions.

  • How can I view Keshot videos?
To view a video, simply select the video player you'd like to view the Keshot with: RealPlayer or Windows Media Player. The icons for both players are located just to the right of the Keshot. If you need to download one of these players, we highly recommend Windows Media Player. (Downloading either player is totally free and relatively easy.) If you're certain you have a video player installed on your computer and are still having problems viewing video Keshots, consult our Plugins FAQ You! page.

  • I want to take a Keshot! Where can I find the Keshot kiosk closest to me?
Dominating the world is a long and involved process, so you can't find our kiosks everywhere just yet. To see a list of venues where Keshot kiosks are installed, peruse the pull-down menu on our Search page. For a list of upcoming events that feature Keshot kiosks, check out the Hot Topics section of the site.

  • Who has access to my e-mail address?
We hate spam, too, and can assure you that we would never subject you to it. Your e-mail address and personal information is completely safe with us. Consult our Privacy Policy for details.

  • Can I buy or rent a Keshot for personal or professional use?
Yes, you certainly may, and we absolutely recommend that you do. We're cool. People like to see us at parties. Trust us on this one. Visit our Corporate Sales page to find out more.
